2010  Provided testimony to the Texas Education Agency School Board regarding the Technology Application TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) 

2009-2010  Texas Education Agency Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) review committee
Member of the Technology Applications committee which reviewed and made suggestions to update the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for Texas School Board Adoption.

2005 Microsoft Testing Center – Established a Microsoft Testing Center through Certiport Inc. to allow students, faculty, and community to acquire Microsoft Office User Specialist certification. Testing fees for 100 students were purchased through Perkins Funds to use as students had completed BCIS I or II with an A or with teacher approval. Some testing fees were purchased to use with the city outreach center to improve job opportunities.

2001 Intel Teach to the Future Program  – Initiated and established this program in the district. This 40 hour program was designed to meet the technology goals of the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) bill. This program focus is to equip teachers to integrate technology into a standards-based curriculum while emphasizing effect instruction.

2000  Texas Education Agency, TEKStar 2000-Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) committee
Member of the committee which created multimedia package lesson plans and video clips to demonstrate activities and teaching strategies for Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills. The lessons were to include learning styles, critical thinking skills, multiple intellegences, technology tools, accommodations and extensions.
